When my
wife got interested in Chainmaille jewelry, I
was appalled at how much she was spending for Jump Rings. I was even
more
appalled when I saw the mark up on these little rings. Some companies
mark up their jump rings by 10 times! That was when I started to
research how to make them.
I started out by talking to a friend of mine who
manages Oniomania,
a small eclectic gift shop in Milwaukee which specializes in
handmade jewlery from local artists. He gave me an introduction to jump
ring making. From
there I looked at
each step. If I found a new way to do a step, and it improved the
quality, I incorporated it. If it didn’t improve the quality,
I didn't. Eventually, I developed a process that produced high quality
jump rings and VERY affordable prices.
And
since I hand manufacture all of my jump rings, I can provide them for
you in any quantity over 25. If you need 283 for a project, that is all
I will charge you for. I do always throw in a few extra just in case
either of us messes one up!
